We’d like to answer your questions about what to expect at a new door consultation:
1. When do you conduct these visits?
We normally schedule them Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 6 pm. If these times don’t work for you, we can also schedule on Saturdays or later in the evening.
2. Would you come out more than once if I’d like my spouse to weigh in?
We want all of our customers to be satisfied with their decision, so we are happy to conduct follow-up appointments. It is always good to have any decision-makers be present, if possible.
3. How soon do you schedule them? If I call today, can we meet as early as tomorrow?
We can meet as early as today.
4. What will we be talking about?
We begin by asking about your goals for your new door. What’s you budget? Time frame? We become familiar with the style of your home. Our technicians welcome any examples of doors you’ve noticed that you like, in your neighborhood or elsewhere.
5. Will you be bringing materials to look at? Can I keep any of them?
Yes. We always bring manufacturers’ brochures and color samples of various garage door materials. We will also show you a cross-section of a garage door that illustrates how they are constructed, so you can be better equipped to make decisions about materials, finish, durability, and insulation.
You are welcome to keep the brochures and color samples.
6. What’s the next step after your visit?
If you make your decision then, you can order your door right away. Depending on how common your door is, it can take between a few days to a few weeks for it to arrive. Once it is delivered to us, Metro Garage Door technicians can install your door right away.
If you aren’t ready to decide, you’re welcome to take extra time, or let us know if a second visit with more information would help you further. We want you to be completely satisfied with your garage door choice.
Bonus! If your current door is not working and you’d like to order a replacement, in some cases we can make your door temporarily operational while your new door is on its way.
7. Do I need to come in to the showroom at all?
If you choose to stop by you will see larger samples and additional types of doors that we cannot bring on the road. For more hands-on information about garage door options, the showroom is a great place to start.
Regular showroom hours are weekdays, 8 am to 4:30 pm, or call to set an appointment for evenings or Saturdays.
8. Is it possible to order a door without an on-site visit or a visit to the showroom? Can I just tell you what I want?
